A new Salinger work emerging will be a holy grail to literary society. Due to the fact that he claims he never stopped writing since he started, the possibilities are endless to how much new works he's made that hasn't been seen by the public yet. The work might effect the litarary society in America in a way that readers and fans of Salinger's work will go nuts for it. A long line would probably be in front of the bookstores for a new Salinger book. It may also cause controversy among parents and maybe anybody that may find something that offends them in it, as most of Salinger's works do.
It would introduce Salinger's work to a new generation, and it'll maybe fasinate new readers, or bore them to death. It may cause new readers to want to track down his other works, or may make some new readers want to burn every last copy of his past works.Some fans of Salinger may think it's his best work ever, or other fans may think he's done better. Most of all, it'll be a found needle in a haystack as Salinger kept many things to himself, and he was very secreative for the last decades of his life. So, a new Salinger work emerging will effect the literary world in a way that we've never seen before, and we may never see again.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely about how his work is very controversial and may not be good for young readers, and how his new works could spark something in readers, wheather it is good or bad.
